The Kids Want A Dog- Dealing with the Allergic Repercussions
Understanding Dog Allergies
Prevention and Treatment of Dog Allergies
#1. Keep the Dog Out of Bedroom
#2. Groom the Dog Properly
#3. Ensure That You Vacuum Frequently
#4. Pay A Visit To Your Allergist
When you suspect that your child might be allergic to your dog, it is time to visit your allergy specialist. He/she will run some tests to determine the allergen responsible for your kids’ issues.
The allergist will do so by either scratching or pricking your child’s skin and place a drop containing the allergen to that spot. If your kid is allergic, some tiny pimples will develop at that spot.
Once the doctor determines the type of allergen and the severity of the allergies, he will then develop a course of treatment, which can include prescribing some drugs or allergy shots.
